inZOI Hits 1 Million Sales Within First Week

Krafton's highly anticipated life simulation game inZOI has surpassed 1 million copies sold in its debut week, marking the fastest sales milestone ever achieved by a Krafton-published title. The PC exclusive launched via Steam Early Access on March 28.

The game initially made headlines when players discovered unintended interactions with child NPCs, which Krafton promptly addressed through a hotfix describing the behavior as an "unintended bug." Despite this early controversy, inZOI maintains a 'Very Positive' rating on Steam and peaked at 175,000 concurrent Twitch viewers, ranking third in platform's Games category.

The title climbed to Steam's Global Top Sellers list (by revenue) just 40 minutes after launch. Its Canvas UGC platform saw remarkable engagement with over 1.2 million users and 470,000 content uploads on launch day alone.

Critical Reception and Future Updates

IGN's Early Access review awarded inZOI a 6/10, praising its visual presentation while noting its current lack of depth. Krafton attributes the successful launch to proactive community engagement and pre-release promotions, particularly citing strong interest in their global showcase events.

CEO CH Kim stated: "We're thrilled to introduce inZOI worldwide through Early Access. This marks the beginning of our commitment to develop this into Krafton's next major franchise through continuous player dialogue."

The developer acknowledges community-reported issues and promises rapid fixes throughout April, describing their growing global playerbase as both exciting and challenging for their communication strategies.
