The eagerly anticipated action game, *Lost Soul Aside*, has been delayed by three months, shifting its release date from May 30 to August 29, 2025, as announced by its developer, Ultizero Games. Originally set to launch next month after almost a decade of development, the PC and PlayStation 5 single-player game will now see additional time dedicated to polishing the experience.

"We are truly grateful for the positive response we've received from players all over the world since we announced *Lost Soul Aside*," stated Ultizero Games. "We remain committed to delivering a high-quality game experience. To match the standards Ultizero Games have set for ourselves, we are going to take some additional time to polish the game. *Lost Soul Aside* will now release on August 29, 2025. We want to express our heartfelt thanks to our fans waiting for the launch."

Originally a passion project of solo developer Yang Bing, *Lost Soul Aside* has evolved into a significant title under Sony's China Hero Project. Bing, now the founder and CEO of Shanghai-based studio Ultizero Games, has seen the game grow from a solo vision to a major reveal at Sony's State of Play broadcast. The excitement around *Lost Soul Aside* has been palpable, often described as an intriguing blend of Final Fantasy characters with the dynamic combat of Devil May Cry, a sentiment that started building when Yang Bing's initial reveal video went viral in 2016.

The game's protagonist, Kesar, is equipped with a versatile shape-shifting weapon that allows players to switch between different playstyles. Additionally, Kesar is accompanied by a dragon-like companion named Arena, who can summon abilities to aid in battles. *Lost Soul Aside* mirrors its inspirations with an emphasis on aerial dodging, precision timing, combos, and countering, all set against the backdrop of large-scale boss fights. The game's narrative weaves a sci-fi premise with diverse contemporary aesthetics across multiple dimensions. While the full storyline remains somewhat enigmatic based on trailers, Yang Bing describes Kesar's journey as one of "redemption and discovery."

IGN recently had the privilege of sitting down with Yang Bing to delve into the extensive development journey of *Lost Soul Aside*, highlighting the transformation from a solo creator's vision to a much-anticipated release. The anticipation for this game continues to grow, promising a rich and engaging experience for players on its new release date of August 29, 2025.
