Co-Studio Head Ryan Schneider highlighted the studio's prior experience with the 2016 Ratchet & Clank film, stating their ongoing enthusiasm for such projects, particularly concerning the beloved Ratchet & Clank universe.

The 2016 film's mixed reception hasn't dampened Insomniac's spirits. With Sony's acquisition of the studio in 2019 and Sony's proven success in game adaptations (notably The Last of Us), Insomniac is confident in its ability to deliver compelling cinematic experiences.
