Activision reports a significant boost in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies main quest completion rates, thanks to the introduction of Directed Mode. While many players prioritize survival in the wave-based Zombies mode, Directed Mode has successfully engaged a larger portion of the player base with the game's overarching narrative.

Since its inception in World at War, the Call of Duty Zombies mode has featured a complex, expanding storyline. Despite a decline in the overall Black Ops 6 player base, the Zombies mode retains a dedicated community. However, the challenging gameplay often prioritizes survival and weapon upgrades over story completion.

The Season 1 update introduced Directed Mode, designed to improve story engagement. Data reveals a remarkable increase in main quest completion rates, jumping from 4% to 8.23% based on 480 million hours of gameplay.
