Bethesda Announces Oblivion Remaster Tomorrow

Author:Kristen Update:Nov 19,2025

After months of speculation and leaks, Bethesda appears poised to officially announce its remastered edition of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion tomorrow.

Today's Twitter/X post from Bethesda revealed a scheduled announcement for tomorrow at 8am PT/11am ET across their YouTube and Twitch channels. While the company remained cryptic about specifics, the prominent "IV" numeral and distinctive Oblivion-style artwork in the teaser strongly suggested the nature of the reveal.

The gaming community has speculated about an Oblivion remake for years, with these rumors gaining credibility through recent leaks. Initial indications emerged during the 2023 FTC vs. Microsoft trial, where a leaked 2020 Bethesda roadmap mentioned a planned Oblivion remaster targeting fiscal year 2022. Though initially dismissed as potentially scrapped, rumors resurged this January with reports suggesting a comprehensive remake developed by Bethesda in collaboration with support studio Virtuos.

Last week's leaks, including production images from Virtuos' website, provided near-confirmation of the project. If accurate, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered will release for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms, featuring both standard and Deluxe Edition versions - the latter reportedly including the infamous horse armor DLC.

Viewers can expect official confirmation and additional details during tomorrow's announcement stream.
