Ubisoft's unannounced game, Project U, has been hit with a series of unfortunate leaks. The trouble started back in 2022, right after the closed beta testing phase began. Fast forward to two years later, and those same leaks have resurfaced, indicating that the project is still very much in development. In a surprising turn of events, an introductory cinematic from the game has now leaked online, hinting at a possible reboot of the game's development.

The authenticity and origin of this cinematic remain unconfirmed. It was first shared by blogger Shaun Weber, known for his history of leaking gaming content. Weber has teased that more videos from Project U could emerge if the game's development continues to drag on.

Project U is rumored to be a session-based cooperative shooter, taking inspiration from the success of Helldivers 2. According to the leaked footage, the game's narrative centers around an alien machine invasion of Earth, with players stepping into the shoes of chosen individuals tasked with fighting back against this extraterrestrial menace.

Despite these leaks, Ubisoft has yet to make any official statements about Project U, leaving fans in the dark about when they might expect a formal announcement.
