Fast forward 17 years, and the dedicated Sonic fanbase has delivered a remarkable gift: Sonic Unleashed Recompiled, an unofficial PC port of the Xbox 360 version.

This isn't a simple port or emulation; it's a ground-up PC version boasting enhancements like high-resolution and high-framerate support, plus mod compatibility. It even runs on the Steam Deck!

Importantly, playing Sonic Unleashed Recompiled requires owning the original Xbox 360 game. The port utilizes static recompilation, transforming the original Xbox 360 game files into a playable PC version.
