Riot Games still wants its MMO, but it is not even close to the finish

At this year's DICE Summit, Riot Games co-founder Marc Merrill shared his vision for the future, focusing heavily on an upcoming MMO set within the beloved League of Legends and Arcane universes. Merrill revealed that this MMO project consumes a significant portion of his time, fueled by his personal passion for the genre and a strong belief that this dedication is crucial to its success. He also highlighted the immense desire among League of Legends fans for deeper immersion within their favorite world.

While Merrill remained tight-lipped on specifics, including a release date, he playfully suggested a launch before humanity's first Martian landing. The feasibility of this prediction remains to be seen.

It's important to note that another League of Legends-based game is currently under development: 2XKO, a fighting game eagerly anticipated by fans. Unlike the MMO, 2XKO has already unveiled trailers and a projected release window—before the end of the year.
