How to Start Battle of Frogs and Mice in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

To begin this side quest, you must first complete either the Mice or Frogs quests for Prochek and Olbram. Once you've completed one of these quests, the Battle of the Frogs and Mice will become available. To start, simply speak with Prochek in Tachov or Olbram in Zhelejov, and then proceed to the designated pasture to initiate the quest.

Should You Side With Prochek or Olbram?

In this quest, you’re faced with the choice of siding with either Prochek or Olbram. To side with Prochek, speak to him in Tachov and choose the option “Let’s get those Zhelejovites!” To side with Olbram, talk to him in Zhelejov and select “Let’s go and see those Tachovites!”

During the negotiations at the pasture, avoid trying to reconcile them immediately as this may trigger the fight prematurely. Instead, attempt to pass the dialogue check during the talks. Success will cause one member of the opposing side to flee, making the ensuing battle easier. Winning the fight for either side will grant you groschen as a reward.

How to Stop the Feud

To achieve a peaceful resolution, before heading to the pasture, ask Prochek or Olbram if they want to end the feud. Then, travel to Troskowitz and speak with Baliff Thrush. Choose the dialogue option “You’d finally have some peace.” Successfully passing this dialogue check allows you to visit the scribe’s room and read the Troskowitz Chronicle. If persuasion fails, you can sneak in to read it, but remember to save your game beforehand.

In the scribe’s room, select the dialogue option “Fecit, ordinem in regione ope clavi ferrei.”

Next, go to the pasture and find three oak trees aligned together. Examine the middle tree to find a nail. You can:

• Leave the nail in the middle tree to split the pasture equally between Tachov and Zhelejov.
• Place the nail in the west tree to allocate more land to Tachov.
• Put the nail in the east tree to give more land to Zhelejov.

The choice of where to place the nail is up to you, and it doesn’t significantly impact the outcome. After deciding, return to Baliff Thrush and confirm your decision to end the feud. Then, bring Prochek or Olbram to the pasture to finalize the resolution.
