How to Use the R.E.P.O. Lobby Size Mod

For fans of online multiplayer horror games like Content Warning and Lethal Company, R.E.P.O. will feel instantly familiar. If you've played those titles and wished for larger squads, R.E.P.O. offers a solution: a lobby size mod. This guide explains how to install and use it.

Installing the More Players Mod in R.E.P.O.

R.E.P.O. defaults to six players per lobby, a generous amount. However, if you crave a larger group, a mod can expand that limit. Here's how to install the necessary components:

  1. Download and install BepInEx from Thunderstore. This is the mod framework required to run custom modifications.
  2. Download the More Players mod from Thunderstore.
  3. Open the downloaded .zip file.
  4. Locate the "plugins" folder within the .zip and drag its contents into the BepInEx directory located within your R.E.P.O. game files.

That's it! The More Players mod is now installed. The next step is configuring it to your desired player count.

How to Increase Lobby Size

To adjust the lobby size, you'll need to modify a configuration file:

  1. Open the BepInEx config folder (located within your R.E.P.O. game directory).
  2. Use Notepad (or a similar text editor) to open the zelofi.MorePlayers.cfg file.
  3. Find the line that reads "Maximum Players" and change the numerical value to your preferred lobby size. For example, to accommodate eight players, change the number to "8".
  4. Save the file and launch the game.

Important Note: Setting the maximum players too high might cause the game to crash. Start with a moderate increase and adjust as needed.
