Pokemon TCG Pocket Unveils Shining Revelry, Hints at Ranked Matches

The latest expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket has introduced shiny variants, adding over 110 new cards to the game. Named "Shining Revelry," this expansion brings dazzling new cards from the Paldea region, making it an exciting time for collectors and players alike. I found myself wishing for more Hourglasses to try my luck with a 10-pack pull. After the update went live, I eagerly spent some of my Pack Hourglasses to open ten packs and was thrilled to pull a Charizard EX, although the rest of the haul was less impressive.

One card that did catch my eye was the Pokémon Center Lady, which can heal Special Conditions—a handy ability when dealing with debilitating effects like Burn. This addition to my deck brings a bit of comfort and strategic advantage.

As with previous updates, the latest expansion also introduces an Emblem event, where you can earn new badges to show off to your friends. The highlight of this update is the introduction of Ranked Matches. You'll be able to compete against other Trainers, climbing from Beginner to Master Ball Rank. Your points will be displayed, and you'll receive an emblem at the end of the season, which lasts approximately one month. It's time for me to dust off my dueling skills and start building competitive decks.
