Similar to Western Chess, the goal is to capture your opponent's General (King). You command seven types of pieces, each with unique movement rules. The board features intersecting lines, including diagonal and horizontal ones, where pieces move along these lines and stop at their intersections. The blank central area represents the Yellow River, historically dividing northern and southern China. Major pieces in Chinese Chess enter the action much faster, leading to quicker and less protracted games.
