Kojima Productions revealed on May 29 via Twitter/X that the beloved VTuber will appear as a Prepper - one of the game's isolated survivalist characters.

Usada Pekora, a prominent Japanese VTuber from Hololive Production's "hololive fantasy" generation, currently ranks as the agency's fourth most-subscribed talent with over 2.7 million followers. Her inclusion follows a 2023 studio visit where Pekora met with series creator Hideo Kojima, who shared their photo together on social media.

The announcement featured a brief teaser showing Pekora greeting players outside a Prepper Shelter. While her exact role remains mysterious (described simply as "What kind of Prepper could she be...?"), fans anticipate humorous interactions given Kojima's known admiration for the VTuber's content.

Kojima Productions confirms more celebrity appearances are forthcoming, though technical limitations forced them to reject about half of proposed cameos. According to recent KojiPro podcast discussions, while numerous figures were scanned and recorded, storage constraints prevented their inclusion.
