Monster Hunter Now Tests New Monster Outbreaks Feature

Monster Hunter Now is buzzing with excitement as Niantic introduces a new feature for testing called Monster Outbreaks. This innovative addition is currently in the feedback phase, allowing players to experience it firsthand and provide insights before its official rollout.

When Is the Monster Outbreaks Testing in Monster Hunter Now?

The testing phase for Monster Outbreaks is scheduled from April 26th to 27th, with sessions running for a couple of hours each day. Specifically, the event will occur twice daily on both Saturday and Sunday, from 10:00 to 10:59 a.m. and again from 3:00 to 3:59 p.m., all times local.

During these times, you'll encounter outbreak points on the map where you'll face swarms of 8-star Black Diablos. The goal is to collaborate with other players and defeat a total of 100 Black Diablos at each outbreak point within the one-hour window. Note that this count is per outbreak location, not a global total.

To participate, you must be at least HR 11. Importantly, the party feature won't be available; only in-person group hunts will count towards the goal.

Outbreak points are easily identifiable on the map with a unique icon. By tapping on these icons, you can view details and even sign up on a roster to coordinate with other hunters.

Black Diablos Is Rolling Up with Serious Boss Energy, in Swarm Mode!

The mechanics of the slay count are quite engaging. For instance, if you and three other hunters take down a single Black Diablos, that counts as four towards the goal of 100. Should your group reach the 100 mark before the hour is up, you can continue hunting Black Diablos for the remainder of the session.

Successful groups that achieve the 100-monster goal will be rewarded with 3 Black Diablos Tailcases, 3 Ridges, 3 Primeshells, 3 Marrows, and 2,000 Zenny. Additionally, those who use the sign-up roster can earn a special Outbreak Test I Medal.
