J.C. Lee, the daughter of the iconic Marvel creator Stan Lee, has recently broken her silence in an exclusive interview with Business Insider, firmly denying previous allegations of elder abuse against both her father and her late mother, Joan. The accusations, which surfaced in 2017 following Joan's passing and were detailed in a 2018 The Hollywood Reporter (THR) article, painted a troubling picture of J.C. Lee's relationship with her parents. The THR piece alleged that J.C. Lee pressured her parents for financial resources and control over their assets, and described intense verbal confrontations and a "powder-keg" dynamic with Stan Lee, including claims of physical altercations. The report included photographic evidence of a bruise on Joan Lee's arm, which J.C. Lee has vehemently denied causing.

In her first public response to these claims, J.C. Lee told Business Insider that the accusations were entirely false. She explained that she chose not to refute the allegations publicly at the time of the THR article, following advice from those close to her. Reflecting on her decision, she expressed regret, stating, "You think I haven't regretted it to this day? They are all lies. That photo is insane. I never did it." J.C. Lee admitted to having heated arguments with her parents over financial matters but emphasized that these disputes never escalated to physical violence. "I never ever touched my parents," she asserted.

Stan Lee passed away in 2018 at the age of 95 due to a heart attack. The comprehensive Business Insider interview delves into J.C. Lee's life, exploring her experiences growing up under the shadow of her father's fame, her financial struggles, the manipulation she faced from others, her battles with loneliness, her creative endeavors, and the challenges of carrying on her father's legacy.
