"Ironheart Trailer Debut: Riri Williams Smashes Truck, Meets Untrustworthy Hood"

Marvel has unveiled the debut trailer for Ironheart, the much-anticipated MCU Disney+ series. Dominique Thorne returns as the armored superhero Riri Williams, first introduced in 2022's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, joined by Anthony Ramos as Parker Robbins, also known as The Hood. The trailer, which you can watch below, offers a glimpse into the series, highlighting Riri's journey to becoming a standout superhero in her own right, following her supporting role in the MCU.

PlayParker Robbins / The Hood is portrayed as a character who initially aims to help Riri realize her potential, though it's evident there's more complexity to his character.

Ironheart, executive produced by Ryan Coogler, will premiere with a three-episode launch on June 24 at 6pm PT/9pm ET on Disney+.

In the series, Riri describes her involvement in the events of Wakanda Forever as an "internship abroad." After being expelled from MIT, she faces a pivotal decision prompted by The Hood: "anyone who has accomplished anything has to do questionable things. Are you in or out?"

The trailer showcases Riri suiting up as Ironheart, flying, and engaging in action-packed scenes, including a dramatic moment where she punches a truck, sending it flying over her head.

View 15 ImagesMarvel has an exciting lineup of upcoming shows. Another spin-off from the Black Panther franchise, Eyes of Wakanda, is a four-episode animated mini-series focusing on the Hatut Zaraze, an elite group of Wakandan warriors. It is set to launch on August 6.

Additionally, Marvel is bringing two more animated mini-series to the screen: Marvel Zombies, premiering on October 3, and the live-action series Wonder Man, scheduled for December 2025. Marvel Zombies is set in the zombie reality introduced in the first season of What If…? and will feature many MCU stars reprising their roles, including Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Awkwafina as Katy Chen, Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, and Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan.

Wonder Man will star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams, a superpowered actor and recurring Avengers member in the comics. Ben Kingsley will reprise his role as Trevor Slattery, the actor who portrayed the fake Mandarin in Iron Man 3, while Demetrius Grosse is set to play the Grim Reaper, Simon's villainous brother.
