My Hero Academia: The Strongest Announces EOS After 4 Years of Service

My Hero Academia: The Strongest, the popular action RPG based on Kohei Horikoshi's anime, is shutting down. Xin Yuan Studios recently announced the end of service (EOS) for the mobile game, which launched globally in May 2021. Published by Sony Pictures Television, KOMOE Game Corporation, and A-Plus Japan, the game allowed players to explore the My Hero Academia universe, recruit beloved characters like Deku, Bakugo, and Todoroki, and embark on missions within a detailed open world.

When Is My Hero Academia: The Strongest Shutting Down?

The game's servers will officially shut down on March 31st, 2025. On February 24th, 2025, the game was removed from the Google Play Store and the iOS App Store, and in-app purchases were disabled. After March 31st, all official social media accounts will be deleted. However, customer support will remain available for an additional 30 days to address any player inquiries. Players who made purchases between January 25th and February 24th, 2025, can apply for a refund before the server shutdown. As a final farewell, all existing players will receive a reward mail containing SSS+ Limited Time Heroes and 100,000 Hero Coins. Further details can be found on the game's official website.

Why Is It Shutting Down?

The closure of gacha RPGs is unfortunately becoming increasingly common. My Hero Academia: The Strongest enjoyed a successful initial run, lasting approximately four years. At launch, it boasted robust, lag-free PvP combat with a satisfyingly weighty feel. However, the game's momentum eventually waned. A lack of major updates after its first anniversary, coupled with reported mismanagement, contributed to its decline. Its longevity without consistent updates is, in itself, noteworthy.
