How to Obtain the Dark God’s Violin in Pirate Yakuza

The Dark God’s Violin is the first Dark Instrument you can unlock in Pirate Yakuza, and it's crucial for progressing through the main storyline. You'll encounter this mission in Chapter 2, where Jason, one of your crew members, will direct you to meet an old friend. During this encounter, Goro and his crew will clash with the Devil Flag pirates, who have murdered Jason's friend and stolen the Pharoh Stone.

This leads to a meeting with Misaki, the orphaned daughter of Jason’s slain friend, who joins the Goro Pirates to avenge her father's death, sparking the side story. To unlock the Dark God’s Violin, follow the questline to the islands east of Madlantis, where you’ll face a formidable fleet of Devil Flag pirates. Concentrate your attacks on the boss ship to board it and engage in the next phase of the battle. After defeating the Devil Flags, you’ll receive the Dark God’s Violin. You can then test this new finishing move in a thrilling 100-enemy brawl on the island.

Following this victory, a cutscene introduces the captains of the massive fleet: Yakuza, Ronin, Shinobi, and Zeus. They challenge the Goro Pirates, initiating the sidequest. While defeating the Devil Flags isn't required for the main story, it's essential for collecting all the Dark Instruments in Pirate Yakuza.

How to Obtain the Dark God’s Ocarina in Pirate Yakuza

After securing the first boss ship and engaging in the initial 100-enemy brawl, you'll notice special Devil Flag markers across various waters in Pirate Yakuza. Defeating these ships will earn you Devil Flags, and you'll need 70 to progress toward the next Dark Instrument. Confront Devil Flags whenever you spot them or on treasure islands they occupy to quickly accumulate flags.

Once you have 70 flags, Atali Island will unlock on your map. Prepare a robust landing party for this treasure island, as you'll face multiple waves of attackers. After navigating through these challenges, you'll reach the treasure chest containing the Dark God’s Ocarina. However, you must first defeat Devil Flag Captain Yakuza to claim it.

After defeating Captain Yakuza, a series of cutscenes will unfold, revealing a supposed location for the Pharoh Stone. However, it's a ruse that leads to another 100-enemy fight, offering a chance to test the Dark God’s Ocarina.

Goro and his crew then learn that Zeus is headed to Flame Island. This next stage is challenging, requiring at least a three-star ranking and 130 Devil Flags. After obtaining the required flags, head to the Flame Entrance Lighthouse, triggering a cutscene. You must conquer four treasure islands: Sunset, Heatwave, Welldone, and Scorching Heat. Remember, you can't use health items during these battles, so upgrading Goro and his landing crew is crucial for success.

After navigating the treasure islands, another fleet battle awaits. Focus on the boss ship, board it, and defeat the first mate to land on Flame Island. Jason, Masaru, Minami, and Saejima are the best crew members for this mission. Engage in several small battles before facing Captain Ronin. Use the Dark Instruments you've earned to defeat Ronin and his crew, securing the Dark God of the Earth’s Guitar.

The Dark God’s Saxophone is the final Dark Instrument in Pirate Yakuza, and you'll need a Pirate Rank Four to progress. Engage in main story missions, recruit new crew members, and participate in mini-games and side quests to boost your rank. You'll also need to collect 220 Devil Flags.

Navigate to the Frost Entrance Lighthouse to trigger a cutscene and engage the Devil Flag fleet blocking Frost Island. Four additional islands (Snowview, Coldwave, Icicle Island, and Glacial) are available for plundering and collecting more Devil Flags.

Defeat Captain Shinobi’s First Fleet before disembarking to confront the Devil Flag pirates. Navigate through battles on the island, leading to a cave and a recovery area. The final boss fight against Captain Shinobi awaits beyond the recovery area. After defeating him, a cutscene will play where Zeus takes Misaki hostage, ending the Frost Island level with Goro obtaining the Dark God’s Saxophone.

One final boss encounter remains, where you must defeat Zeus and rescue Misaki. This challenging two-stage battle requires a nearly fully upgraded Goromaru. While this last fight isn't necessary for collecting the Dark Instruments, it's a fitting end to your journey against the Devil Flags.

And that's how you obtain all Dark Instruments in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii.
