To keep things straightforward, this list focuses solely on games developed by Rockstar—not those they’ve merely published. Red Dead Redemption 2 claims the top spot in my heart—and on my tier list—as an absolute S-tier masterpiece. Its predecessor and GTA 5 join it in this elite group, having set the bar high for cinematic open-world experiences. Max Payne 3’s stylish bullet-time combat and GTA San Andreas’ nostalgic charm also earn them S-tier spots. At the opposite end of the spectrum lie underwhelming titles like Austin Powers: Oh, Behave! and Welcome to My Underground Lair!, which barely register on anyone’s radar.
