Feral Interactive, known for their expertise in mobile porting, has elevated the experience of Creative Assembly's acclaimed real-time strategy and empire-building series, Total War, with the release of the Imperium Edition update for Rome: Total War on Android and iOS. This significant overhaul introduces a host of new mechanics, quality-of-life enhancements, and other improvements, taking the mobile gaming experience to new heights.

While some of these additions echo the mechanics introduced in Feral's PC remaster of Total War: Rome, they are far from being mere replicas. Instead, they represent thoughtful enhancements that enrich the gameplay. For instance, seasoned players will appreciate the introduction of features like Positioning Mode, Melee Mode, and Automatic Deselection, originally seen in the Medieval II port.

For both new and veteran commanders, the Command Slowdown feature stands out. A staple in newer releases, this mechanism automatically slows down the gameplay when issuing complex orders, allowing for precise strategic decisions in the heat of battle.

Perhaps one of the most exciting additions for many players is the support for keyboard and mouse. Now, Android and iOS users can enjoy Rome: Total War with the precision and familiarity of desktop controls, enhancing the tactical control and overall gaming experience.
