Details on Remedy's Current Game Development Projects

Remedy Entertainment's annual report confirms significant progress on several key projects. Control 2 has successfully completed concept validation and entered full production, marking a major step forward. Alongside Control 2, FBC: Firebreak and the Max Payne 1+2 remakes are also actively in development, having progressed from the preparation phase a year ago. However, the Kestrel project, a collaboration with Tencent, has been cancelled.

All these projects utilize Remedy's proprietary Northlight engine, previously showcased in Alan Wake 2 and other successful titles. Control 2, budgeted at €50 million, will be self-published and released on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. FBC: Firebreak, with a €30 million budget, will launch on PlayStation and Xbox subscription services, as well as Steam and the Epic Games Store. While the budget for the Max Payne 1+2 remakes remains undisclosed, they are confirmed as AAA titles fully funded by Rockstar Games for development and marketing.
