Kabam is set to enhance Marvel Contest of Champions with significant updates, including the launch of the Dark Phoenix Saga, new Champion introductions, and the debut of a novel character type called Eidols. This month, the game also honors its powerful female characters, giving players a say in which Champion will undergo a rework in 2025.

The Dark Phoenix Saga will commence on March 3rd, featuring Jean Grey and the X-Men battling dangerous variants in a fresh quest. Following this, Jean Grey joins The Contest on March 13th, with Bastion arriving on March 27th, adding their unique abilities and deepening the game's narrative.

The lore of Marvel Contest of Champions will further expand with the introduction of more Eidols, continuing the Founders storyline. After the debut of Isophyne in December 2024, Lumatrix, the next Eidol, will be introduced on March 5th and available until June 4th. Designed by The Founders as a master infiltrator, Lumatrix is crafted from ISO-8 crystals and possesses exceptional light manipulation abilities. It serves as a formidable weapon, capable of spying, sabotaging, and assassinating with precision while maintaining a dazzling facade.

March also celebrates the powerful women within The Contest. Kabam has collaborated with seven female developers and content creators, each aligned with a different Champion. Players can influence which Champion gets a rework in 2025 by completing Solo Objectives and participating in Realm Events.
