Ubisoft has unveiled an exciting roadmap for the first year of post-launch content for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, promising to enhance the gaming experience with features like new game+, additional difficulty settings, more story content, and much more. In a concise yet informative four-and-a-half-minute video update, the company has detailed its plans for 2025, providing a clear schedule for May and June. The rollout of new content kicks off in early May with The Works of Luis Frois, the first of several free story add-ons. This update will be accompanied by a Codex update and various quality-of-life improvements. Players can also look forward to substantial parkour enhancements and an updated photo mode arriving next month. These changes are part of Ubisoft's ongoing effort to engage with the community and incorporate player feedback into future updates for Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

“Your feedback has been a core focus of the team throughout development, and that’s not stopping now that Shadows is released,” said community developer Daniel St. Germain in the video. He emphasized that regular title updates, each containing impactful additions and changes based on player feedback and requests, along with bug fixes, will continue to refine the gaming experience across all platforms.

In June, players can expect another free story drop, along with more challenging difficulty settings, gameplay immersion options, an open-world alarm system, and the ability to toggle headgear visibility during cutscenes. These updates address player requests and set the stage for even more features, including new game+ support, additional story content, special collaborations, and more, all slated to arrive before the end of the year.

The highlight of the post-launch roadmap is the first major DLC expansion, Claws of Awaji, set to release later in the year. This expansion will introduce new content, including the Bo staff weapon and a new region for protagonists Naoe and Yasuke to explore, offering a 10-hour journey. While pricing details are yet to be disclosed, the expansion will be free for those who pre-ordered Assassin’s Creed Shadows before its launch last month.
