The Dexcom G6 and G6 Pro Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) Systems are essential tools for anyone managing diabetes, offering real-time glucose monitoring without the need for fingersticks and no calibration required.* These systems are designed to keep you informed about your glucose levels every five minutes, making them suitable for both type 1 and type 2 diabetes patients, including children aged 2 years and older.

With the Dexcom G6 and G6 Pro, you can always know your glucose number and its trajectory, aiding in effective diabetes treatment decisions. A standout feature is the alarm and alert system, which notifies you when your glucose levels are too high or too low, helping you take timely action. However, if your symptoms do not match the readings, fingersticks are still necessary for diabetes management decisions.

The systems offer personalized trend alerts directly on your smart device, enhancing your ability to manage your diabetes. The Alert Schedule** feature allows you to customize a second set of alerts, such as setting different alert settings for work hours versus the rest of the day. You can also choose custom alert sounds, including a Vibrate-Only option on your phone for glucose alerts, though the Urgent Low Alarm cannot be turned off.

The Always Sound** setting, enabled by default, ensures you receive critical Dexcom CGM Alerts even if your phone is set to silent, vibrate, or Do Not Disturb mode. This feature allows you to mute calls and texts while still receiving audible CGM alarms and alerts, including the Urgent Low Alarm, Low and High Glucose alerts, Urgent Low Soon Alert**, and Rise and Fall Rate alerts**. A home screen icon indicates whether your alerts will sound. For safety reasons, the Urgent Low Alarm and three other alerts—Transmitter Failed, Sensor Failed, and App Stopped—cannot be silenced.

Additional features include the ability to Share** your glucose data with up to ten followers in real time using the Dexcom Follow** app, which requires an internet connection. You can also access Health Connect to share retrospective glucose data with third-party apps. The Quick Glance feature lets you view your glucose data on your smart device's lock screen, and Wear OS Integration allows you to receive glucose alerts and alarms on your Wear OS watch.
