Top Peni Parker Decks for Marvel Snap Revealed

Following the introduction of Galacta and Luna Snow, *Marvel Snap* welcomes Peni Parker, a character well-known from the *Spider-Verse* movies. Like Luna Snow, Peni Parker is a ramp card, but she brings her own unique twist to the game.

How Peni Parker Works in Marvel Snap

Peni Parker is a 2-cost, 3-power card with an ability that states: "On Reveal: Add SP//dr to your hand. When this merges, you get +1 Energy next turn." SP//dr, a 3-cost, 3-power card, has the ability: "On Reveal: Merge with one of your cards here. You can move that card next turn."

This card can be a bit tricky to understand at first. Essentially, Peni Parker adds a card similar to Hulk Buster to your hand, which allows for movement across the board. The crucial aspect is that merging any card with Peni Parker grants you an additional energy for your next turn. This isn't limited to SP//dr; cards like Hulk Buster and Agony can also merge with her to boost your energy. SP//dr's movement ability is only effective the turn after it merges and can be used just once.

Best Day One Peni Parker Decks in Marvel Snap

Peni Parker might take some time to master due to her unique mechanics. At a total cost of 5 energy for the merge effect and the extra energy, she's a bit pricey, but she synergizes well, particularly with Wiccan. Here’s a sample deck to get you started:

  • Quicksilver
  • Fenris Wolf
  • Hawkeye
  • Kate Bishop
  • Peni Parker
  • Quake
  • Negasonic Teenage Warhead
  • Red Guardian
  • Gladiator
  • Shang-Chi
  • Wiccan
  • Gorr the God Butcher
  • Alioth

[ttpp] This deck is on the pricier side, with essential Series 5 cards like Hawkeye, Kate Bishop, Wiccan, Gorr the God Butcher, and Alioth. You can substitute other cards with similar effects or tech cards like Enchantress, especially if you're facing a lot of Mister Negative decks. The deck is flexible, allowing you to swap in your preferred cards, such as Quake over Cable or Juggernaut over Red Guardian. The strategy involves playing Quicksilver on turn one, followed by a two-drop like Hawkeye or Peni Parker to ensure you have a three-cost card for Wiccan's effect.

Peni Parker adds consistency and flexibility to this deck, thanks to SP//dr's 3-energy cost and movement ability. With Wiccan's effect activated, you can play both Gorr and Alioth before the game ends, offering multiple win conditions. This deck requires a good understanding of your opponent's strategy, so feel free to adjust it based on your meta and collection.

Another deck option is a Scream move-style list, which was once a meta favorite but has since declined. The extra energy from Peni Parker and the movement from SP//dr could revitalize this deck:

  • Agony
  • Kingpin
  • Kraven
  • Peni Parker
  • Scream
  • Juggernaut
  • Polaris
  • Spider-Man
  • Miles Morales
  • Spider-Man
  • Cannonball
  • Alioth
  • Magneto

Scream, Cannonball, and Alioth are crucial Series 5 cards for this deck, though you might consider swapping one for Stegron. Agony isn't essential and might not be optimal, but she pairs well with Peni Parker. Mastering this deck involves manipulating your opponent's cards and predicting their movements a few turns ahead. Kraven and Scream help you win lanes by manipulating both sides of the board. Merging with Peni Parker allows you to play both Alioth and Magneto in a single game, providing additional win conditions.

Is Peni Parker Worth Collector’s Tokens or Spotlight Cache Keys?

Currently, I wouldn't recommend spending Collector's Tokens or Spotlight Cache Keys on Peni Parker. While she's a solid card, the current meta of *Marvel Snap* demands more impactful plays. Playing Peni Parker on turn 2 and SP//dr on turn 3 doesn't hold up against stronger strategies. However, as *Marvel Snap* evolves, Peni Parker's utility may increase, so keep an eye on her potential in future updates.
