"The Oasis of Douz" tells the tale of a cuckoo's exciting journey across North Africa, detailing the sights and experiences encountered. The cuckoo is injured, begins to miss home, and ultimately decides to return.
His journey back includes traveling with a caravan, a perilous sea voyage aboard a pirate ship, and journeys through Spain and France. Upon returning home, he decides to migrate back to Africa each winter, becoming a migratory bird.
Each location in the cuckoo's adventure features music in a local style. Expect sounds of a desert caravan, a Spanish malagueña, a French musette, a thrilling boat ride, and more!
"The Oasis of Douz" is a lighthearted and enjoyable exploration of various regions and their unique musical styles.
