WHAT IS STENCILETTO?

Stenciletto is a collection of progressive brainteasers that use fundamental geometric shapes. Its purpose is to sharpen visual and spatial reasoning abilities. Accessible to everyone, it only requires recognizing basic shapes and understanding what a stencil does.

Solving these puzzles engages a suite of critical thinking skills simultaneously—visual-spatial perception, logical reasoning, strategic planning, and problem-solving. It appears simple but offers a genuine cognitive workout. Your task is to tap geometric stencils in the right sequence to recreate a target pattern. It's much tougher than it seems and is guaranteed to get you thinking!

The game was refined over a decade by an experienced educator, with input from children, teens, adults, and individuals with learning differences or brain injuries. All found it engaging and motivating.

Our latest update introduces Education Mode, making the game classroom-ready. A single purchase unlocks all relevant content. It includes controls for content access, internet, Game Center, and sharing. Eligible for Family Sharing, it's also perfect for homeschooling.

HISTORY OF THE GAME

Originally called the Stencil Design IQ Test, it was developed by early 20th-century psychologist Dr. Grace Arthur. She understood that non-verbal skills are a core component of intelligence. She found it suitable for children as young as seven and academics alike. Tasked with assessing Native American and deaf children who struggled with verbal IQ tests, she used this activity to demonstrate they possessed intelligence equal to that of educated Americans.

WHAT'S IN THE GAME?

Two game types await. Classic Games use Grace Arthur's original stencils (squares, circles, triangles, crosses)—shapes familiar to most. Our new World Games offer advanced challenges for those with strong perception and logic.

Stenciletto features over 600 puzzles sorted by difficulty. Every level includes a free sample set, offering 60 puzzles to try at no cost.

Each full game contains 15 puzzles. Completing a Classic Game rewards you with an animated Smiley character. These are based on famous historical and mythological figures, celebrating diverse cultures. They're also a fun way to track your progress and achievements.

Choose from several ways to play:

• Mortal Mode is the standard: purchase lives or wait for them to recharge. Puzzles are timed and scored, with dedicated leaderboards.

• Immortal Mode grants unlimited lives—just top up your bank as needed. Also timed and scored, with its own leaderboards.

• Mindful Mode removes the clock and scoring, letting you solve puzzles at your own relaxed pace.

• Education Mode unlocks both Immortal and Mindful Modes (Mortal Mode can be disabled) for flexible learning.
