A classic game to play against bots or over a local network (LAN, WiFi).
"Sea Battle" is a two-player game where participants take turns calling out coordinates on their opponent's hidden map.
If the opponent has a ship at those coordinates (meaning the square is occupied), then the ship or part of it is "sunk",
and the player who scored the hit earns another turn. The goal is to be the first to sink all of your opponent's ships.
The game board for each player is typically a 10×10 grid, where the player's fleet of ships is positioned.
The fleet consists of:
1 ship — a row of 4 cells ("four-deck"; battleship)
2 ships — a row of 3 cells ("three-deck"; cruisers)
3 ships — a row of 2 cells ("double-deck"; destroyers)
4 ships — 1 cell ("single-deck"; torpedo boats)
When placing your fleet, ships must not touch each other on their sides or corners.
Next to your own grid is an identically sized, empty opponent grid. This represents the area of sea where the enemy fleet is located.
On the opponent's grid, a hit on an enemy ship is marked with a cross (X), while a miss is marked with a dot. The player who scores a hit gets to shoot again.
The winner is the first player to sink all 10 of their opponent's ships.
You can play against AI bots at various difficulty levels, or connect via LAN or WiFi. No internet connection is required!
LAN Setup Options:
- Create a WiFi hotspot on one device and connect another device to it.
