Catch Records for English/Welsh Under 10m Vessels Fishing in UK Waters

Use this app to create and submit catch records for all English and Welsh under 10 metre (U10m) flag vessels that fish in UK waters.

All U10m flag vessels are required to meticulously record their catch. This data is crucial for UK fishing authorities to manage fishing levels sustainably, ensuring the health and longevity of our marine ecosystems.

Who Can Use This Service?

You can utilize this service if you are:

• A registered vessel owner
• A skipper

For Registered Vessel Owners:

If you are a registered vessel owner, you will receive an invite email. The timing of this email depends on your vessel's size. It is important to register and begin using the service within one calendar month of receiving the email.

For Skippers:

If you are a skipper, please contact the owner of the vessel to request an invite to use this service.

Important Note for Members of Producer Organisations:

If you are a member of a producer organisation and lease quota, you should not use the online record your catch service. Instead, continue to record your catch using a paper logbook.

What This Service Replaces:

This service replaces the following:

• The NEP1 form
• The MSAR1 form, although local IFCAs may still require additional information depending on your location
• The requirement to complete a logbook when leasing fish quota and/or when fishing in 2 ICES areas (currently IV4/VIId and VIId/VIIe)
