The ESRB rating for Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom reveals a surprising gameplay element: Princess Zelda's debut as the main protagonist will also feature Link as a playable character. The September release promises a unique Zelda experience.

Zelda and Link: A Dual Protagonist Adventure

The ESRB listing confirms both Zelda and Link are playable. The game, rated E 10+, features Zelda battling rifts across Hyrule and rescuing Link. Gameplay mechanics differ between characters: Link utilizes sword and arrows, while Zelda wields a magic wand to summon creatures like wind-up knights, pig soldiers, and slime. Combat involves fire-based attacks and enemies dissolving into mist upon defeat. The extent of Link's playable sections remains undisclosed.

This marks a pivotal moment for the Zelda franchise, giving Princess Zelda her first starring role. Following its summer showcase announcement, Echoes of Wisdom has swiftly become a highly anticipated title.
