The Last Knight Side Quest Walkthrough: A Honkai: Star Rail Guide

The Last Knight is a side quest in Honkai: Star Rail's Wuthering Waves region, offering a charming detour from the main storyline. While less grand than major quests, it provides a glimpse into life outside Ragunna City and rewarding prizes. This guide offers a concise walkthrough.

Starting the Quest

To begin, complete Chapter 2 of the main storyline, specifically the "What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing" quest. Many side quests in Rinascita are locked until Chapter 2, Act 3 is finished. Afterward, locate Cosimo in Egla Town, Whisperwind Haven. He's near the first house by the main road, marked by a blue quest marker.

The Night Reveries

This involves a performance dedicated to a legendary knight. You must defeat the Mad Knight, who only appears at night (18:00 to 06:00). Find him at the town's central pool. He's not a difficult opponent.

Mimic Chests

After defeating the Mad Knight, travel to the tallest tower and then to Carlow's location (marked on your map). He's unconscious near a large purple flower. Touching the flower transports you to an area with chests. The first three are genuine; in the next set, only the second chest (middle-left) is real. Open it for Astrites and other rewards, but prepare for a mimic encounter afterward.

The Knight's Trail and the Strange Scent

Next, visit two locations associated with the legendary knight, following quest markers and interacting with NPCs.

After speaking with Mr. Millkeeper, follow the scent to a unique Chop Chop battle. A Questless Knight Echo is highly recommended for this fight, allowing you to parry and stun its attacks. Mr. Millkeeper reveals the "legendary knight" was a fabrication.

Find Carlow

Return to Egla Town during the day and find Carlow in a town plaza. He's challenged by knights. His reaction concludes the quest, awarding Union XP, Astrites, and resources. The Last Knight is then marked as complete.
