WoW Adds Recolored Rare Mounts (with Caveat)

Two exclusive WoW mounts, the Blazing Royal Fire Hawk and the Golden Ashes of Al'ar, are coming to World of Warcraft China. These mounts, reimagined versions of the Pureblood Fire Hawk and Ashes of Al'ar, are available through special promotions starting January 15th.

The Blazing Royal Fire Hawk, reminiscent of the Pureblood Fire Hawk, features auspicious clouds within its wings while in flight, a nod to Chinese culture. The Golden Ashes of Al'ar, a gilded variation of the original, boasts a black saddle and evocative flavor text referencing Kael'thas Sunstrider.

These mounts are obtainable through separate promotions: the Treasure Workshop for the Blazing Royal Fire Hawk and Landro's Loot Box (approximately $27) for the Golden Ashes of Al'ar. The Loot Box offers various rewards, including other rare mounts like the X-51 Nether Rocket X-TREME and the Swift Spectral Tiger. Group purchases offer bonus crates.

Currently, there's no indication these mounts will be released internationally, leaving players outside China to admire them from afar. This release follows the successful return of World of Warcraft to China after a partnership renewal between NetEase and Blizzard.
