Wild Rift Patch 6.1 Goes Cosmic Mid-April

Author:Kristen Update:May 23,2025

LoL: Wild Rift's Patch 6.1: Ascending Stars is set to launch on April 16th, promising a cosmic transformation across the game. From revamped menus to a transformed battlefield, players will explore the Dual Nova galaxy, featuring the Challenger’s Star and Adventure’s Star, enhancing the overall gaming experience.

Three new champions are ready to shake up the meta with their unique abilities. Ryze, the Rune Mage, offers massive Area of Effect (AoE) damage and can teleport teammates with his Realm Warp ability, making him a strategic asset on the battlefield. Nocturne, the Eternal Nightmare, brings chaos to the fight with his Paranoia ability, which shrouds enemies in darkness. Lastly, Zilean, the Chronokeeper, manipulates time, slowing down foes and reviving allies with Chronoshift, adding a new dimension to team fights.

Several champions are also undergoing reworks to keep the game fresh and balanced. Garen's Courage now scales over time, enhancing his tankiness, while his Judgment ability will now shred enemy armor more effectively. Ambessa transitions from the jungle to the Baron lane, with adjustments to her damage and life steal. Smaller tweaks are also in store for Diana, Fiora, Jax, Sona, and Kalista, ensuring diverse gameplay options.

Beyond champion updates, the patch introduces a Bandle-inspired Rift for non-Ranked modes, featuring Enchanted Gifts that appear through portals during the laning phase, adding a fun twist to the gameplay. Mages will benefit from new item updates, including the Bandle Fantasy item for extra burst damage, Hextech GLP800 for slowing enemies with frost bombs, and Malignance to enhance ultimate abilities, making spellcasters even more formidable.

Ranked mode is also seeing significant changes with the start of a new season alongside the launch of the Challenger’s Star. Updates to the Ranked store and an easier way to earn seasonal rewards will keep competitive players engaged. Midway through the patch, the Adventure’s Star unlocks, introducing AAAARAM, a new ARAM variant with added augments and stunning galactic visuals.

The Wild Pass introduces two eye-catching skins: Wondertown Twisted Fate and Battlecast Nasus. Twisted Fate's new look marks the debut of an entirely new skinline, offering players fresh customization options.
