Weekly Challenges: New Mode in The Battle of Polytopia

The Battle of Polytopia has just spiced things up with the introduction of Weekly Challenges, offering a fresh and exciting way to test your skills in this popular 4X strategy game. Dive in to discover all the details about this new feature.

From Randomness to Structure

Previously, The Battle of Polytopia thrived on its unpredictability, with a mix of enemies, resources, and maps keeping every game session unique. However, the latest free update introduces a more structured competition format.

Each week, all players will tackle the same map, tribe, and gameplay conditions. The challenge? Achieve the highest possible score within just 20 turns. You're allowed one attempt per day, giving you a maximum of seven tries per week to climb the leaderboard.

One of the best parts of this update is that it allows you to play as tribes you might not have purchased yet. The game boasts a total of 16 tribes—four included with the base game and twelve more available for purchase between $1-4 each. But with The Battle of Polytopia Weekly Challenges, everyone competes with the same tribe, whether they own it or not.

Will Weekly Challenges Make The Battle of Polytopia More Exciting?

Absolutely, and here's why. The new Weekly Challenges come with a League system, starting everyone off in the Entry League. Your performance each week will determine whether you move up, down, or stay in your current league. The top third of players advance, the bottom third drop down, and the middle third remain in place.

As you progress through the leagues, the difficulty ramps up. In the Entry League, you'll face AI on Easy difficulty, but by the time you hit the Gold League, you'll be up against Crazy difficulty bots. Miss a week? No worries—you won't be demoted, but your ranking will adjust based on how others perform.
