Valheim Merchant Locations and Inventory Guide: Finding Haldor, Hildir, and the Bog Witch

Valheim's challenging world is made slightly easier by the presence of three helpful merchants. Their locations, however, are procedurally generated, making them difficult to find. This guide details where to locate each merchant and their complete inventory.

Finding Haldor (Black Forest Merchant)

Haldor, arguably the easiest to find, spawns within a 1500m radius of your world's center. He resides in the Black Forest, an area accessible relatively early in the game. He's often near The Elder's spawn point (located by examining glowing ruins in Burial Chambers). For a quicker search, use the Valheim World Generator (created by wd40bomber7) to pinpoint his exact location using your world seed. Once found, build a portal for easy access. Trade with him using gold, readily obtained by exploring dungeons and selling gems.

Finding Hildir (Meadows Merchant)

Hildir, located in the Meadows, is harder to find than Haldor due to her distant spawn (3000-5100m from the world center, with spawn points approximately 1000m apart). The Valheim World Generator is recommended. Alternatively, search Meadows within the specified radius. A T-shirt icon appears on the map when you're within 300-400m. Build a portal once you locate her. Hildir offers clothing with stamina reduction buffs and quests for lost items, leading to new dungeons and expanded inventory.

Finding the Bog Witch (Swamp Merchant)

The Bog Witch, found in the treacherous Swamp (3000-8000m from the world center, with spawn points 1000m apart), is the most challenging merchant to locate. Use the Valheim World Generator or diligently search the Swamp; her Cauldron icon will appear on the map when nearby. Once located, build a portal. She offers unique items for cooking and mead crafting.
