Where to Find the Signal Redirector in Atomfall

To start your quest, you'll need to gather information from Wyndham Village about Dr. Garrow's whereabouts. Once you have the lead, your mission is to rescue her from the depths of the Protocol prison camp in Skethermoor.

Reaching the camp is challenging as it's heavily guarded by Protocol soldiers. A smart strategy to ease your infiltration is to first connect with Captain Grant Sims in Wyndham Village. By assisting him with tasks like retrieving stolen goods, you can gain temporary favor with Protocol.

The prison is multi-leveled, and you'll need to navigate through each floor, evading or confronting guards and robots. Don't forget, B.A.R.D robots can be dismantled for their Atomic Batteries, essential for The Interchange.

Descend to the lowest level, past the dig site area, where Dr. Garrow is imprisoned in a cell in the main room. To free her, you must retrieve the Signal Redirector from the nearby Storage room, where it sits on a shelf. Upon acquiring it, you'll unlock the ‘Reverse the Polarity’ trophy/achievement.

How to Use the Signal Redirector in Atomfall

Screenshot by The Escapist The Signal Redirector, a creation of Dr. Garrow, functions as a hacking device. It reroutes power within yellow junction boxes to different sources, allowing you to disable security systems or unlock storage areas.

Much like the Metal Detector, when you have the Signal Redirector in your inventory, it will alert you with an icon at the screen's bottom when a hackable junction box is nearby. Follow the device's needle to pinpoint the box's location, and it will highlight once you're close enough.

To hack, select the 'Hack' button to redirect the junction box's power. If needed, you can reverse the hack by selecting the 'Hack' button again.
