Embark on a thrilling adventure through Eora's perilous Living Lands with the aid of four unique companions in Avowed. Each companion boasts a distinct personality and customizable abilities, enhancing your gameplay experience. Let's explore each recruitable companion:

Kai: Encountered early in Dawnshore, near Paradis, Kai, a formidable ex-mercenary with a surprising gentle side, is your first true companion. His tank-like capabilities in combat, combined with fire-based abilities to clear obstacles and uncover hidden treasures, make him an invaluable asset.

Kai's Upgradable Abilities:

• Fire and Ire (Active): A powerful blunderbuss shot that stuns and taunts a single enemy.
• Unbending Defense (Active): Regenerates health and significantly reduces damage.
• Leap of Daring (Active): A powerful leap that stuns and taunts nearby enemies.
• Second Win (Passive): Revives Kai with 50% health upon reaching zero.

Marius: Found in Dawnshore, Marius shares a history with Kai. His expertise as a hunter and tracker is reflected in his gameplay, utilizing bow and arrow, daggers, and nature-based traps. His Hunter Sense ability aids in locating loot and crafting materials.

Marius' Upgradable Abilities:

• Binding Roots (Active): Roots an enemy in place.
• Heart Seeker (Active): A piercing shot that ignores obstacles.
• Shadow Step (Active): Vanishes and reappears to attack an enemy (up to 3 times).
• Wounding Shots (Passive): Attacks inflict bleeding.

Giatta: Recruited in the Emerald Stair Region's Fior settlement, Giatta is an animancer whose magic plays a crucial role in the main quest. Her support abilities in combat, including healing, shielding, and buffs, are invaluable. Her Spectral Jolt ability activates Essence Generators, opening new pathways.

Giatta's Upgradable Abilities:

• Purification (Active): Heals all allies.
• Barrier (Active): Provides allies with a temporary health shield.
• Acceleration (Active): Increases ally movement and attack speed.
• Reconstruction (Passive): Attacks partially heal allies.

Yatzli: The final companion, found in Thirdborn (Shatterscarp region), Yatzli is a damage-dealing magic user. Her spells excel at both single-target and area-of-effect damage, and she can also clear environmental obstacles.

Yatzli's Upgradable Abilities:

• Essence Explosion (Active): An explosive arcane attack.
• Minoletta’s Missile Battery (Active): A volley of homing arcane missiles.
• Arduos Delay of Motion (Active): Slows an enemy.
