"Tribe Nine Ends EOS Support Shortly After Global Launch"

Akatsuki Games has made a shocking announcement about the end-of-service (EOS) for their latest game, Tribe Nine. Launched just a few months ago in February on Android, iOS, and PC via Steam, it's hard to believe the game is already facing its demise. What led to this decision? Let's dive in and find out.

When Is the Tribe Nine EOS?

Tribe Nine is set to officially shut down on November 27th, 2025. Alongside this disheartening news, Akatsuki Games has confirmed that Chapter 4 of the main story will not be released, despite the game having recently teased exciting upcoming developments. This is a major disappointment for fans.

As of May 15th, all new updates, features, bug fixes, and content releases have been canceled. This means that any previously announced adjustments or new features won't see the light of day. Additionally, two anticipated characters, Ichinosuke Akiba and Saizo Akiba, who were set to join the roster, will no longer be added.

Refunds will be issued for Paid Enigma Entities used on items such as Armed Support, Advanced Support, and the Support Contract – Revenio. These refunds will be processed after the Revenio contract concludes. Furthermore, players can no longer purchase Enigma Entities or Daily Passes, whether through the app or the web store. However, existing Enigma Entities can still be used until Tribe Nine's official shutdown.

Why Did It Fail, So Soon?

Tribe Nine is a free-to-play extreme action RPG known for its distinctive style and rich worldbuilding. Despite its quality, the game faced challenges from the start.

The game's release schedule was notably slow, with only one story chapter and one event released over the first three months. Additionally, there was little incentive for players to spend money. Players could build a strong team with just one pull, and duplicate characters were not necessary, which was great for players but not for the developers' revenue.

It seems that the decision to incorporate a gacha system was a risky move for Tribe Nine, and unfortunately, it did not yield the desired results. Despite this, the game remains playable until November 27th, so if you haven't tried it yet, you can still check it out on the Google Play Store.
