"Torchlight: Infinite Season 8: Sandlord Launches This Month"

Torchlight: Infinite has just unveiled the details for its eagerly anticipated next chapter, Season 8: Sandlord, set to launch on April 17th. This season promises to be a significant overhaul, introducing innovative gameplay mechanics and fresh content to the action RPG (ARPG) scene.

One of the standout features of Season 8 is the introduction of the Cloud Oasis, where players will dive into economic gameplay. In this floating city, you'll engage in resource trading, manage worker assignments, and oversee production lines to construct your aerial empire. This new mechanic, dubbed Sandlord, will redefine how you interact with the game's world, shifting focus from pure combat to strategic empire building.

Thea makes a thrilling return with a revamped trait called Blasphemer. This new feature swaps her divine abilities for a curse named Desecration, which begins modestly but grows powerful, enhancing Erosion damage as her blessing power diminishes. Players can further customize this trait to unlock area-of-effect (AoE) explosions or health-scaling effects, perfect for those who relish damage-over-time strategies and intricate build synergies.

Season 8 also brings a significant update to endgame content. The Deep Space area has undergone a complete transformation, featuring five new stages, expanded maps, and more challenging adversaries. Additionally, the new Probes system allows players to adjust the level of risk and reward, potentially unlocking high-value Compass chests through the Compass Probe.

A new Blending System for belt crafting is introduced, enabling the fusion of Hero Traits, Talent nodes, and unique affixes into a single item slot. This offers deeper customization and build options for players. Moreover, a new boss, Night Slayer – The Wilting Plume, joins the fray, appearing in Plane Watcher and on the 20th floor of Supreme Showdown.

Celebrating the launch, the Sands of Fortune anniversary event will run from April 17th to May 1st. Participants can complete various tasks to earn Gold Rush Attempts and stand a chance to win from a substantial $250,000 prize pool.
