Thrones Gameplay Unveiled

Netmarble's upcoming mobile RPG, Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, gets a gameplay trailer and closed beta announcement. Set during the show's fourth season, this action-adventure title promises engaging combat and a rich narrative.

The closed beta, running January 16-22, 2025, in the US, Canada, and select European regions, offers early access via the game's website. A full launch is slated for later this year.

Featuring class-based progression with "fully manual" controls, players can command characters like Jon Snow, Jaime Lannister, and even Drogon. The game boasts an original storyline centered around a new character, heir to House Tyre, adding to the existing Game of Thrones lore.

The recently released trailer highlights the game's "raw, aggressive, and destructive" combat system, showcasing the potential for a compelling mobile gaming experience. The game's setting during season four allows for a unique story arc, drawing inspiration from Wildlings, Dothraki, and the Faceless Men. This offers a substantial gaming experience for fans while they eagerly await the next installment in George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series.
