Sunset Hills Is a New Novel-Style Narrative Puzzle about the Travels of a Dog Army Veteran-Turned-Novelist

Sunset Hills is an enchanting new puzzle game available on Android, developed by Cottongame, the creative minds behind Reviver and Mr. Pumpkin Adventure. Staying true to their signature style, this game immerses players in a soothing, pastel-colored universe filled with vintage cityscapes, anthropomorphic dogs, and touching narratives.

Accompany Nico, a War Veteran, in His Journey

In Sunset Hills, you step into the shoes of Nico Grant, a novelist with a past as a war veteran. The story begins in June 794 as Nico embarks on a train journey to reconnect with his fellow ex-servicemen. It has been seven years since the war concluded, and a deep-seated need drives him to seek out his old friends: Ferruccio, Doug, and Roy.

The narrative delicately unfolds Nico's emotions and memories. As a child, Nico was introverted, more drawn to books and his own imagination than to socializing. The war, however, thrust him into a world where his small stature and uniqueness made him a target for bullying and isolation. Yet, Nico found solace in writing, using a little notebook as his emotional refuge. This notebook eventually became the conduit for forming lasting bonds with his squadmates, turning initial teasing into enduring friendships.

Now, as an adult and a successful author, Nico's travels take him across various cities and countries by train. Each stop presents new moments and puzzles for players to solve alongside Nico.

Sunset Hills Shows That Life after War Is Strange

Sunset Hills is a point-and-click adventure where every conversation can lead to a vital clue. Players must engage in dialogues, collect and combine items, and solve puzzles that range from finding the right object to helping others, solving minor crimes, or evading chases. Additionally, you'll find yourself stitching clothes, baking bread, and even performing with a band.

The game's visual style is a captivating blend of hand-drawn art and 3D scenes, with Victorian-inspired architecture that adds a unique charm. Check out the trailer below to get a glimpse of the stunning world of Sunset Hills.
