"Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Receives Last Major Update"

Rocksteady Studios has released the final major content update for their live-service title, *Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League*, with Season 4 Episode 8 now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Following its release in February 2024, which garnered largely negative reviews, Rocksteady made the decision less than a year later to end support for the game as of January 14. Despite the game's short lifespan and unexpected shift to a live-service model, which many believe contributed to its rapid decline, the servers will continue to operate post-update, allowing players to enjoy the game with friends.

After a brief period of server downtime, Season 4 Episode 8, titled "Balance," is now accessible to players. This update introduces an Infamy Set inspired by DC Super-Villain Libra, new Notorious weapons, and a final Mayhem mission against Brainiac. Additionally, the update includes crucial bug fixes and gameplay enhancements, such as reduced XP requirements for Squad Levels, ensuring players can continue to progress and enjoy the game.

While no new content will be developed after the January 14 patch, the game's servers will remain online. Furthermore, the Season 4 Episode 7 update in December introduced an offline mode, enabling players to experience the main campaign and all seasonal story missions without an internet connection. This feature ensures that even if the servers are eventually taken offline, fans can still enjoy *Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League*.

For those who missed out on the game during its brief run, *Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League* has been added to PlayStation Plus, available to subscribers until February 3, alongside *The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe* and *Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered*.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Patch Notes for Season 4 Episode 8 Update

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MEDIEVAL GENIUS

Dive deeper into the medieval Elseworld in Episode 8: Balance, where you'll encounter both familiar sights with new twists and fresh locations. Challenge yourself at The Quarry, a fortified citadel that you must besiege to defeat the tyrant Brainiac. Engage in thrilling jousting tournaments or interdimensional battles at The Arena, and marvel at the statues of King Jor-El and Queen Lara Lor-Van, which embody the spirit of chivalry and honor.

LIBRA INFAMY SET

The Infamy Set for Episode 8 draws inspiration from Libra, a formidable DC Super-Villain fixated on balance. His set applies stacks of Scales of Libra to enemies, boosting both the damage they deal and receive by 50% per stack. This high-risk, high-reward set promotes a dynamic and bold playstyle.

NOTORIOUS WEAPONS

Complementing Libra's Infamy Set, The Silencer’s Complete Silence weapons deliver a bonus 200% damage to enemies affected by Scales of Libra. Their Alt-Fire mode offers a staggering 1,000% bonus damage and creates a Silencer Zone, reducing enemy damage by 100% within it, perfect for crowd control while maximizing damage output.

Doctor Sivana’s Magic Bullets pierce through enemies, apply Scales of Libra, and have a chance to electrify foes, making them ideal for swiftly decimating groups of enemies. Positioning is key to maximizing their devastating potential.

Chronos’ Equilibrium amplifies the glass cannon approach, offering a 25% bonus damage increase for every 1% of missing Shield, pushing players to engage fearlessly amidst the chaos for powerful results.
