Spice Berry Jelly Recipe in Stardew Valley Revealed

Author:Kristen Update:Apr 09,2025

*Stardew Valley* is a game brimming with diverse activities, from farming and mining to fishing. Among these, crafting your own provisions and preserves is a rewarding way to gather resources. One such delightful creation is Spice Berry Jelly. Here's your guide on how to make it in *Stardew Valley*.

How To Get the Preserves Jar in Stardew Valley

The key to making Spice Berry Jelly is the Preserves Jar. You can obtain it as a reward for completing the Quality Crops Bundle at the Community Centre or by reaching farming level 4. This versatile jar is used to create a range of items, including Pickles, Caviar, Aged Roe, and, of course, Jelly.

Jelly can be crafted from any fruit, whether grown or foraged. During the Summer, once you have the Preserves Jar, you can turn Spice Berries into Spice Berry Jelly. These berries can be found in the Farm Cave year-round or grown in the Greenhouse using Summer Seeds.

To unlock the Preserves Jar through the Community Centre, you need to submit three out of four "gold quality" crops: pumpkins, melons, corn, and parsnips. Each of your chosen crops must be donated in quantities of five. For instance, you could donate 5 Corn, 5 Pumpkins, and 5 Parsnips, but all must bear the "gold quality" star.

Once you've unlocked the Preserves Jar, crafting Spice Berry Jelly becomes a breeze.

How To Make Spice Berry Jelly in Stardew Valley

To create your own Spice Berry Jelly, follow these steps:

  • Gather Spice Berries: Search for them in the wild during Summer or in the Farm Cave any time of the year. You can also use a Seed Maker to turn a Spice Berry into Summer Seeds for replanting.
  • Build a Preserves Jar: Once unlocked, crafting the jar requires 50 Wood, 40 Stone, and 8 Coal. Completing the Quality Crops Bundle will also reward you with one Preserves Jar.
  • Creating the Jelly: Simply place a Spice Berry into the Preserves Jar. The transformation into Jelly takes about two to three in-game days, or 54 hours. To optimize your time, start the process before periods of inactivity, like sleeping or mining. You'll notice the jar "pulsing" as the Jelly is being made.
  • Collect Your Jelly: Once the process is complete, the Spice Berry Jelly icon will appear above the Preserves Jar, ready for you to collect. You can then use the Jelly to restore energy during other activities or sell it for 160 gold.

Crafting Spice Berry Jelly is just one of the many ways to enhance your farm's productivity and contribute to the rich tapestry of *Stardew Valley*. It's a testament to the game's depth and the endless possibilities it offers to its players.
