Rumor: One of the Biggest Xbox Franchises Reportedly Coming to Switch 2, PS5

Rumor: Halo: MCC and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Headed to PS5 and Switch 2 in 2025

A recent report from industry insider NateTheHate suggests that Halo: The Master Chief Collection is slated for release on both the PlayStation 5 and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. The same source claims a 2025 launch window for these new versions of the six-game compilation. This follows Microsoft's increased efforts to bring first-party titles to other consoles, a strategy initiated in February 2024. Initial titles included Pentiment, Hi-Fi Rush, Grounded, and Sea of Thieves, with As Dusk Falls and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 later joining the multi-platform lineup. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is also expected on PS5 in Spring 2025.

Microsoft Flight Simulator's Multi-Platform Future?

NateTheHate's report also hints at a potential multi-platform release for a Microsoft Flight Simulator title, likely Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, which launched November 19th. He suggests a 2025 release on PlayStation and Nintendo consoles.

More Xbox Games to Go Multi-Platform in 2025

This information is supported by another prominent leaker, Jez Corden, who tweeted that significantly more Xbox games will be making their way to PS5 and Switch 2. Corden has previously stated his belief that the era of exclusive Xbox titles is ending.

The future of Call of Duty on multiple platforms is also virtually assured. Microsoft's ten-year agreement with Nintendo to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo consoles, announced in late 2022, is expected to materialize, possibly coinciding with the Switch 2's release, given the latter's anticipated enhanced capabilities.
