If you've been eagerly awaiting the return of one of the more budget-friendly Blackwell graphics cards, your patience is about to pay off. Amazon is currently offering the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5070 Windforce OC 12GB Graphics Card exclusively for Amazon Prime members at the list price of $609.99, complete with free shipping. This GPU is an ideal choice for gamers looking to enjoy high framerates at up to 1440p resolution, and it supports the cutting-edge DLSS 4 technology.

It's worth noting that the suggested launch price for a GeForce RTX 5070 card is $549.99. While there are a few models available at this price point, they are notoriously difficult to find in stock. The Windforce OC model is priced higher due to its overclocked (OC) version. However, this is currently the best price you can find for a standalone RTX 5070 GPU.

Compared to the previous generation GPUs, the RTX 5070 offers performance that is on par with the RTX 4070 Super. Although we might have hoped for a more significant generational leap in raw performance, the RTX 4070 Super was already a stellar card for gaming at 1080p and 1440p. It launched at $599.99, which is just $10 less than the price of this Gigabyte 5070 model. However, finding an RTX 4070 Super at this price has become nearly impossible. The RTX 5070 not only looks and performs better in games that support DLSS 4 and multi-frame generation, but it's also a more future-proof option, likely to benefit from ongoing driver optimizations.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Review by Jacqueline Thomas

"The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 delivers on its promise to handle games at 1440p with high frame rates. However, its performance doesn't significantly surpass that of the RTX 4070 Super or other graphics cards in its price range. It introduces Multi Frame Generation, which is a valuable feature for users with high-refresh monitors, though this alone might not justify the upgrade for everyone."
