Excitement is building for fans of the Girls’ Frontline universe as Project NET, a thrilling third-person shooter spinoff, has officially opened its pre-registration. Announced on the game’s official South East Asian (SEA) Twitter (X) account on March 3, 2025, players can now sign up by visiting Project NET’s official SEA website and clicking the Pre-Register button. Simply enter your email address and select your preferred device, whether it's iOS or Android. Additionally, Project NET’s official Russian (RU) website is also accepting pre-registrations, expanding the game's reach to eager players in Russia.
The developers at Sunborn Network, renowned for the success of Girls’ Frontline, are set to bring a new dimension to the franchise with Project NET. This eagerly anticipated mobile game was first announced on December 27, 2024, and has since conducted an initial localized test in SEA countries including Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines from January 9 to January 16, 2025.
In an exciting development for Filipino gamers, Project NET has announced the "Shock Point Test" recruitment, exclusively open to players in the Philippines on Android devices. This limited-access, non-monetized beta test was announced on the game’s official SEA Twitter (X) account on March 4, 2025. All data collected during the test will be deleted afterward. For those interested, the Shock Point Test will also be available in Russia, with details on the RU website. The developers are actively optimizing the game for a global rollout to other countries and regions.
The recruitment questionnaire for the SEA Shock Point Test must be completed, and qualified participants will receive their confirmation emails between March 24 and March 26, 2025. Test qualifications will continue to be distributed throughout the testing period, which has yet to be officially announced.
For fans of the Girls’ Frontline series, Project NET promises to deliver familiar characters and aesthetics, building on the franchise's rich history. Originally launched in 2016 as a strategy RPG gacha game for mobile, Girls’ Frontline quickly gained popularity and expanded into an anime series and other spin-off games. The latest addition to the series, Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium, was released on December 5, 2024, setting the stage for Project NET's entry into the franchise.
While no official release date has been announced for Project NET, the game is set to be available on both iOS and Android, as demonstrated by the devices used during its initial testing phase. Stay tuned for more updates as the game progresses towards its global launch.
