Pokémon TCG Pocket launches its hotly-anticipated trading feature and Space-Time Smackdown

Pokémon TCG Pocket’s highly anticipated trading feature has finally arrived! Alongside this launch comes the exciting new Space-Time Smackdown expansion, bringing a fresh wave of content to the game.

Trading in Pokémon TCG Pocket works much like real-life trading, allowing you to exchange cards with friends. While there are some limitations—only certain rarities (1-4 and 1-star) are tradeable, and resources like trade hourglasses and tokens are required—it's still a significant addition to the gameplay.

The Space-Time Smackdown expansion introduces legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia, alongside the beloved Sinnoh starters Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup, and much more! Prepare for exciting new strategic possibilities.

The reception to the new trading feature has, however, been somewhat mixed. While the feature itself is well-implemented, the numerous restrictions and resource requirements have been met with some criticism. Many players feel the game would have benefited from either a completely unrestricted trading system or no trading feature at all. Developers are reportedly monitoring player feedback and may implement changes in the future.
