The Pokemon TCG Pocket community has been buzzing since the release of the Genetic Apex set, and now the anticipation is building for the next major expansion, Space-Time Smackdown. This new set is poised to bring exciting changes and fresh content to the game. Here's a comprehensive guide on what to expect from the Space-Time Smackdown expansion in Pokemon TCG Pocket.
The Space-Time Smackdown expansion set is scheduled to launch in Pokemon TCG Pocket on January 30 at 1 a.m. Eastern Time. It's important to note that while the trailer initially suggested a January 29 release, the official Pokemon website and X account have confirmed the January 30 date. This adjustment likely accommodates different time zones, ensuring that most players can access the new packs on the 30th.
Unlike the Genetic Apex set, which offered three booster packs themed around Charizard, Mewtwo, and Pikachu, Space-Time Smackdown will feature only two booster packs. These are themed around the iconic Generation 4 Pokémon, Palkia and Dialga. Given the focus on these legendary Pokémon, it's expected that the set will emphasize content from the Diamond and Pearl games, though cards from other generations will also be included.
While a full list of cards from the Space-Time Smackdown set is not yet available, several key cards have been revealed. Here are the highlights:
