Pokémon Go Tour: Unova’s global leg will see the debuts of Black Kyurem and White Kyurem with new Adventure Effects

The legendary Black Kyurem and White Kyurem are set to make their debut during the Pokémon Go Tour: Unova – Global, bringing with them exciting new Adventure Effects that enhance your gameplay outside of battle. Make sure to utilize the Tour Pass to maximize your earnings throughout the event.

Black Kyurem’s Freeze Shock unleashes electrically charged ice for 10 minutes, immobilizing wild Pokémon and making them much easier to catch. On the other hand, White Kyurem’s Ice Burn slows down the target ring during encounters, aiding you in achieving those coveted Excellent Throws. Both effects can be extended in 10-minute increments, up to two hours at a time, with a total possible extension of 24 hours.

During the event, you can challenge Black Kyurem and White Kyurem in five-star raids to gather Fusion Energy. Once you fuse Zekrom or Reshiram with a Kyurem that knows Glaciate, it will replace Glaciate with either Freeze Shock or Ice Burn. Remember, these moves will revert back to Glaciate if the Pokémon are separated. Note that Kyurem cannot currently learn these moves through Charged TM or Elite Charged TM.

You’ll have the option to choose between two event badges – the Black Version (Reshiram) or the White Version (Zekrom). Opting for the Black Version means encountering Kyurem that know Glaciate after defeating Black Kyurem, alongside Reshiram-themed Special Research rewards. Choosing the White Version will grant Zekrom-themed Special Research rewards and encounters with Kyurem that also know Glaciate after defeating White Kyurem.

To enhance your progression, take advantage of the Tour Pass. It unlocks rewards and boosts your Adventure Effects. Earn Tour Points by catching Pokémon, completing raids, and hatching Eggs. Alternatively, expedite your progress with quick Pass Tasks. Reaching Major Milestones will increase your Catch XP and extend the duration of Freeze Shock or Ice Burn.

For the ultimate experience, consider upgrading to the Tour Pass Deluxe. This premium version offers an immediate encounter with Victini, more event-themed encounters, an exclusive avatar item, and the new Lucky Trinket. The Lucky Trinket is a one-time-use item that allows you to become Lucky Friends with someone on your Friend List, enhancing your next trade.
