The Pokémon Company has officially responded to the challenges fans have faced in acquiring recent Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) sets. In a recent announcement, the company confirmed that reprints are on the horizon and emphasized its commitment to ensuring that products reach fans more efficiently.

The launch of the latest set, Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet - Destined Rivals, encountered numerous issues, including shortages, problems with pre-orders, and scalping. This set, along with others like Prismatic Evolutions and the Blooming Waters box, has been highly sought after, making it difficult for fans to obtain.

In their statement, The Pokémon Company acknowledged that some fans are "experiencing difficulties purchasing certain Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) products due to very high demand impacting availability."

"We understand this inconvenience can be disappointing for fans, and we are actively working to print more of the impacted Pokémon TCG products as quickly as possible and at maximum capacity to address this," the statement elaborated. "Reprinted products are expected to be available at participating retailers as soon as possible."

The company also plans to "maximize production" for future TCG expansions to enhance product availability at launch and will "continue to reprint impacted products" to restock, including for the Pokémon Center.

In addressing scalping concerns indirectly, The Pokémon Company stated that for releases on the Pokémon Center, it is "committed to providing a smooth purchasing experience and employ technology that helps get products into the hands of fans first and foremost." Currently, the Pokémon Center implements a virtual queue for some products during times of high site traffic.

"We will continue to explore measures that help create the best possible experience for Pokémon Center customers," the company affirmed. "We’d like to thank the community for their continued support and patience as we work to deliver more Pokémon TCG products to fans."

With these commitments from The Pokémon Company, fans can hopefully look forward to a less stressful experience when collecting and playing the Pokémon TCG with the arrival of new sets.
